The Piping and Dancing Association of New Zealand Inc Council Trust (PDANZ Trust) was established in 1983 and is a registered charity.   

 It’s purpose is to provide financial assistance in the form of grants or scholarships to members or organisations that meet the objects of the Trust.

 Applications for financial assistance from the PDANZ Trust are based on the following criteria (as set out in the objects of the Trust Deed):

 To provide financial assistance to persons or organisations for:

1                    The promotion and improvement of the art of Solo Piping and/or National and Highland Dancing

2                    The training of persons undertaking the teaching of Solo Piping and/or National and Highland Dancing

3                    Completing research and study in Solo Piping and/or National and Highland Dancing

4                    Demonstrating their skills and knowledge in Solo Piping and/or National and Highland Dancing

5                    Travelling abroad to engage in research, study and training Solo Piping and/or National and Highland Dancing

6                     Travelling abroad to gain experience and knowledge of overseas competitions for Solo Piping and/or National and Highland Dancing
